EXCELlent

I have always hated working with excel, but was amazed how useful it can be to analyze information. The window pane and split screen feature were especially helpful when trying to compare the large groups of data. I can also see how the data could effectively used to identify areas of need within a school or grade level. The random numbers were transformed into meaningful statistics with just a few clicks. One thing I know I need to remember though is to sort the whole data field not just the column I want the data sorted by. I made that mistake while trying to first sort the measurement column, but was able to recognize my mistake when none of the names changed in order with the numbers. I am really enjoying learning how to use programs in ways that are already applicable to my job.
