Excel
I use excel a lot. I use it to make schedules and keep track of scores. I have my students make budgets using excel. Despite my prior knowledge of excel, I still learned a lot of new information about it on Sunday. The best part about learning the new information is that it is both relevant to me now as a teacher and in the future as an administrator. Excel can be used to track student achievement data. I liked the example given of excel being used to show teachers that low-income students are capable of high achievement. As an administrator, I would use excel to look for trends in achievement data.
