I learned a great deal today in class. I was amazed at how easy it can be to use Exel. At the beginning of the year, our principal gave us a hard copy of our test scores and we had to go through with markers and highlight the different areas. How easy would this be with Excel!! I look forward to sharing this with my fellow teachers. The other lesson I really enjoyed was researching my school on IIRC. When I took my new job this year, I went to IIRC and researched the demographics and test scores. I was blown away at how the school that had offered me a job had a 91% low income but test scores near 92% meets and exceeds. However, this is as far as I had ever gone with IIRC. It definitely has a weatlth of information on it. Great tool for educators and future administrators. I came away from clas this weekend with a lot of new and interesting technology ideas.
