The gradebook exercise is an illustration for the frustration of learning new things, especially with technology. BUT, once you have these skills, Excel is an extremely useful in regards to data management. Once you learn the basics of the formulas and moving data from page to page, holding data positions, etc., you can really crunch numbers at a high rate of speed and ease.
I had an Excel gradebook from 1998-2005 that I developed until we got Skyward in 2005. But I did not know several of the shortcuts that we have been exposed to in this class. The old program worked for me bakc then, but I sould have cut my time working in half by using what we have been shown over the past few weekends. Thank you Dr. Closen!
